We Delivered 600,000 Save PBS Kids Petitions to Congress

On Tuesday, we delivered your Save PBS Kids petition—with 660,000 signatures!—to the Senate, accompanied by kids, parents, and The Cat in the Hat. It made quite a splash!

It was a powerful moment, and we were so happy to be there with our ParentsTogether community and our partners, MoveOn, AVAAZ, Free Press Action Fund, and the Creative Majority PAC.

Parents and kids shared their stories about why PBS matters to them. More than 150 news outlets picked up the story—raising up all our voices.

Our stroller brigade headed into the Senate office buildings (btw – those buildings were not built for families. But that didn’t stop us.).

It was hard to miss our littlest advocates with their snacks and bright shirts. We talked with staff at several Senate offices about why PBS matters to so many families.

Now what?

Thanks to your signature on our Save PBS Kids petition, momentum is really building. Along with our campaign partners, we’ll continue to sound the alarm as Congress prepares its own budget in response to Trump’s cuts. Until then:
